Counselling
Counselling can be very helpful when you want a trained professional to
listen to you as you explore your thoughts and feelings about life challenges
or personal issues.
Neuroscience has recently shown that emotional pain is sensed in the same
region of the brain as physical pain. Working through emotional distress
is essential to our well being but sometimes we cannot do this on our own
or even with friends.
Our counsellors can help you make sense of what you are feeling and how
you are reacting to things which invoke stress, depression, sadness or other
strong emotions.
Counselling can be useful to people suffering from bereavement or the loss
of a significant care-giver following a divorce. We can help people experiencing
anxiety, phobias or dependencies.
We do this not by giving advice or telling you what you to do. We listen,
carefully. We help you explore your feelings. We help you discover your
answers, from your wisdom.
The service is confidential.
