MLab
MLab - the Management Lab - was co-founded by Professors Gary Hamel (California) and Julian Birkinshaw (London Business School). MLab supports new thinking in the practice and evolution of management.
Tony has worked with Julian on the management innovation agenda since 2007, as part of a leadership development programme for College Principals and Chief Executives. .
Tony is now an associate of MLab and he specialises in helping public sector clients use these ground-breaking approaches to reinvent how they work.
MLab helps its partner organisations create ground-breaking management
experiments that:
- Address critical next-generation business challenges.
- Challenge long-standing assumptions about how the work of management is best accomplished.
- Drive step-change improvements in key performance parameters such as employee engagement, strategic resilience, and business innovation.
MLab is about creating next practice rather than simply identifying best practice.
The UK public sector is being asked by government to excel in new forms of partnership working and collaboration in delivery. Old forms of management will not deliver the necessary improvements with the speed and quality being demanded. It needs new thinking.
The way we have done things before is not akin to a law of physics – management practice should be our servant not our master.
MLab believes you can put in place the ingredients that will increase both the speed of action and the likelihood of success. Contact us to find out more.
